Goalie Interference (NHL Scorpions Book 2) by Nikki Worrell book review

Goalie Interference by Nikki Worrell.  Book 2 in the NHL Scorpions series.  I couldn’t wait to start this one & it didn’t disappoint.  This was Vlad & Zoe’s story.  It’s fun & playful like the others in the series, but this one had more of a serious tone.  Vlad & Zoe’s interactions are still what dreams are made of, but theirs wasn’t quite as playful as Lacey & Jody or Cage & Karen.  This is just as hot & maybe a little bit sassier than the other 2 books, thanks to Zoe.

Zoe is the team psychologist & can’t get involved with her patients.  Vlad is the Scorpion’s goalie, but refuses to take no for an answer from Zoe.  He pursues her, infuriates & embarrasses her on dates that he interrupts.  Vlad gets news regarding his hockey career, and turns to Zoe.  At this point, they decide to continue their relationship, but keep it a secret from the organization for a time.  At the Halloween game, Zoe’s the one to pop the question.  Not long after this, Vlad is introduced to someone who changes his life forever.  Not going into more detail, cause I don’t want to ruin anything.  But as far as this book goes, you have laughs, tears & you get angry.  I mean good & angry.  You wonder why people are the way that they are.

While I did like this book, it didn’t hold my attention quite like the 1st & 3rd books did.  I think there was a lot of things going on in this story & not a whole lot of time to develop everything.  I still really liked it, and I know I’ll be reading this series again & again.  I would like to know where Zoe & Vlad’s story goes.  The way it ends, it definitely leaves you wanting to know what happens next.

You can check out this whole series here.
